EU4BET Cluster
The EU aims to be climate-neutral by 2050; this objective is at the heart of the European Green Deal and in line with
the EU’s commitment to global climate action under the Paris Agreement. Therefore, the EU is promoting, within the
Horizon 2020 framework, specific R&I programmes that can lead the way to realistic technological solutions,
empowering citizens and aligning action in key areas such as industrial policy, finance and research, while ensuring
social fairness for a just transition.
COLLECTiEF, PRECEPT, PRELUDE, SATO and Smart2B projects are part of the R&I programs promoted by the EU which address, in particular:
- social challenges, aiming at the introduction of secure, clean and efficient energy through the reduction of energy consumption and carbon footprint by a smart and sustainable use of components and systems with in-built intelligence;
- challenges at an industrial level, introducing on the market technologies that enable energy-efficient systems and energy-efficient buildings with a low environmental impact.
Since the projects share similar challenges and objectives, they have decided to join forces and create the EU4BET cluster, in order to activate a virtuous circle that can foster the exchange of knowledge and information and increase, towards the general public and the stakeholders, the awareness of the EU energy transition initiatives.
