About the workshop
As Europe moves toward climate-neutral and resilient cities, energy flexibility and digital readiness are becoming crucial pillars of transformation. This transition demands clear metrics to track progress and scalable approaches to replicate success. This workshop, led by the EU-funded project COLLECTiEF, explores how Smart Readiness Indicators (SRI) and key performance metrics for energy flexibility, indoor comfort, and climate resilience can translate into tangible impact across diverse European building types and climates. The purpose is to create an interactive space where practitioners, researchers, and policymakers can compare methods, test tools, and discuss how performance-based evaluation can accelerate the uptake of smart and flexible buildings.
This workshop will explore how the Smart Readiness Indicator (SRI) and performance metrics for flexibility, comfort, and resilience can drive building upgrades across Europe. Drawing on pilot sites in Italy, Cyprus, and Norway, it will present tested tools, live demos, and business models that raise building smartness and energy efficiency. The session invites interactive participation and aims to deliver actionable methodologies, replication strategies, and cross-project collaboration for smarter, climate-resilient buildings.
