COLLECTiEF is a 4-year project funded by the European Union. It aims to implement an interoperable and scalable energy management system to smart up buildings and their legacy equipment on large scale. Enhancing the energy flexibility on both supply and demand sides can boost the movement towards sustainable and resilient urban energy solutions, especially in high-energy dense and heterogeneous urban areas. Our project responds to this urgent need to review existing buildings’ energy strategy.
COLLECTiEF provides energy efficiency and flexibility focusing on user preferences and requests, and uses selflearning to maximize user comfort.
By using the available technologies as much as possible, we promote circular energy flows and allow maximum interoperability and integration of legacy equipment with new solutions.
In our pilots, we test our system to collect results and demonstrate the applicability of the COLLECTiEF solutions in different building types and climate zones in Europe.
